Bridger Turns

A group of us have been skiing Bridger bowl before work. Dawn patrols are one of my favorite things in life. Skin in the dark; headlamp reflecting off millions of snow crystals, sunrise; warmth and beauty, digging pits; becoming intimate with the snow and mountain, coffee and friends; the focus of life, skiing powder; bliss.

Funeral for a Friend

Pete Tapley, Scott S., Kevin Volkening, and myself headed into the Beartooth Mountains to try and get on some early season ice. We choose Funeral for a friend; a classic ice hose pouring through a tight notch near Glacier lake.

The Upper Doublet

Kevin and I tried climbing the upper doublet in the Beartooth Mountains. We got shut down but figured out logistics and fanned the flame of motivation to get back to this special rock.
